I have run ad-aware and sybot, and both have removed countless items. But my computer still has pop-ups, runs slowly, and I just want to know what I can do to get rid of it all.

You have a Peper infection.

1. Please Download PeperFix.exe.

2. Reboot into Safe Mode. Start the tool and click Find and Fix.

3. Reboot to finish removing what it found.

4. Again in Safe Mode. Run the tool a second time.

5. Reboot to finish removing the entries.

(How to start computer in Safe Mode)

HijackThis needs to be unzipped into a permanent folder in order to save backups just in case something goes wrong. Go to Start > My Computer > and double click on C:. Now right click an open area and click New > folder and change the folder name to HJT. Extract HijackThis from the zipped file into this new folder.

Peper is still showing. Please try this uninstaller.

When you run the uninstaller, you MUST have an internet connection active for it to work

This Peper removal tool only works if run twice. To complete each stage of the Peper removal you need to REBOOT to clear the peper infection each time you run the tool, or the infection will remain.

* Click the View tab.
* Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
* Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
* Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
* Click Apply, and then click OK.

Reboot normally and scan with HijackThis. Post the new log as a reply to this thread.

You need to update Internet Explorer. http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5co…t.aspx?ln=en-us Without the critical updates, the exploits in windows and IE leaves your computer vulnerable to infection.
