Nasty Icons On Desktop - Lop Files

Please help..I have been trying all day to find a way to get rid of some icons that have appeared on my desktop, as well as a search bar that starts when I open IE. I am also getting pop ups from "casale media" all the time, I have my pop blocker on and updated but I am continuing to get the pop ups. Also I keep getting a warning message from adaware about a program trying to access the intenet "lesscreativeelse". I searched my computer and found an .exe file and I deleted it, but I don't know if that is gone now.

I came across the HijackThis in a help forum, and that person said this helped, so I am crossing my fingers and hoping you will be able to help me too.

Please download and run CWShredder. Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception of Cwshredder and choose FIX.

Looks good :D :thumbup: How is it running?

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. In my signature below is also a tutorial on how to harden IE, a good read and very helpful to stop these things in the future. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on.
