Click here to download Ad-Aware SE and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done. Rescan with HJT and post a new log here so that any remnants can be removed manually.

Hi Thanks for the quick response. I downloaded AdAware SE (I had AdAware6.0, and it did not pick up nearly as much stuff). It seems to have left a lot of stuff. What is this "oemji" thing? It seems like it causes problems. Anthow, here is the current scan:

First click here to download LSPFix. Extract the program from the zip file and run it, make sure you click the "I know what I'm doing" button. Select calsp.dll and using the right-pointing 'arrows' and move all instances of calsp.dll it mentions to the Remove (RHS) side but leave everything else (it might already be over there when you open LSPFix). Click the 'Finished' button (if you exit with the X at top right nothing happens).

Go here and run online scans (all), allow them to delete whatever they find:

Panda ActiveScan
Bitdefender
Command on Demand

Reboot when done. Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.

Good Morning

I was able to completely run only one of the scans – the TrenMicro scan. For whatever reason the eTrust, Panda and BitDefender scans would not load and/or run. The Command on Demand ran, but crashed the system at a file called "backup.cab." When I searched the system for a file of that name, I could not find it. I have Service Pack 2 installed, isn't that supposed to block pop-ups?

Click here to download Pocket Killbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file to your desktop.

Start Killbox and click on Tools->Delete Temp Files.

When that finishes, copy and paste each of the following lines into the "Full Path of File to Delete" box in Killbox, and click the red button with the white X on it after each. Keep track of any files it tells you either could not be found or could not be deleted, as you'll need those later:

Please post a new HJT log. Go here, download the FindItNT-2K-XP.zip and extract the files from the zip. Navigate to the Find It NT-2K-XP folder and double-click on find.bat. A command prompt will open and it will search your computer for malicious files. Once it has finished a Notepad window will pop up with output.txt. Copy the entire contents of output.txt into your next post.

Don't reboot from now on unless I instruct it.

Here is the latest HiJack This log. I noticed that there was an entry for iiwory.exe still in it, so when I checked the entry for kalvsla32.exe, I check the entry for the iiwory.exe line also.

Clean log - well done :) Use Add or Remove Programs to get rid of SpySpotter - it a rogue program. How is it running now?

Yeah!! Thank you so much. It seems to be running great. It is my Dad's computer, and it was so messed up. I had a problem with mine once before, and it was nothing like this. I'll play around on it a bit, and see if any other problems pop up. Hopefully nothing will. Thanks again!
