Hi all and thanks for your time.

my main problem is trying to install microsoft messenger, i dwnld the file ok but when i go to install it i get an error code of 1603, i have checked some of the fix's at the microsoft site but still can't figure out what is wrong ?.. hope someone can help. i can use 1m2 but can't use the audio of video features and they are the ones i need so i can talk to my dad. thanks

You have a Lop.com infection. To remove it, follow the directions below.

Go to Add or Remove Programs
look for any of the following, and uninstall them:

Window Search
Window Searching
Lop.com
LOP SEARCH
Browser Enhancer
Ultimate Browser Enhancer
MessengerPlus
MessengerPlus2
MessengerPlus3

You may find entries similair to the above but with Weird spacing in the names.

You may be given a code to insert, do so and reboot when done.

Download the latest version of Ad-Aware here:

After installing Ad-Aware, and before running the program.
Please be sure to update the reference file following the instructions here:

Reconfigure Ad-Aware for Full Scan:

Launch the program, and click on the Gear at the top of the start screen.

Click the "Scanning" button.
Under Drives, Folders and Files, select "Scan within Archives".
Click "Click here to select Drives + folders" and select your installed hard drives.

Under Memory & Registry, select all options.
Click the "Advanced" button.
Under "Log-file detail level", select all options.
Click the "Tweaks" button.

Under "Scanning Engine", select the following:
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under "Cleaning Engine", select the following:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Click on 'Proceed' to save these Preferences.

Run the Ad-Aware scan and allow it to remove everything it finds and then REBOOT to allow it to finish.

from the last post i have removed what i could find from little eagles post and installed and ran the new adaware program, removed what it said and here is the new hijack before i try to install the msn messenger to see if i still get the error code 1603. wish me luck.. thanks chewy
