Hi there,
I've got this horrible thing in my C:\Windows\Temp folder that always chnages it's filename after each scan with Ad-aware? Is it listed here in this logfile? Where can I delete it? And are there any items I should delete from this list? like the tkbejat.exe file? or the LOADQM thingy?
Thank you, thank you very much. :)

Hello kokonut , welcome to the TC.

This is what I suggest you do.

Download CWShredder from my signature below. Unzip it on the desktop.
Open CWShredder and with ALL other windows closed, click fix.

Go here and run online scans (all), allow them to delete whatever they find:

TrendMicro HouseCall
eTrust AntiVirus Web Scanner
Panda ActiveScan
Note any thing that can't be fixed
Reboot when done.

Next:

Even if you've already run these, make SURE they're up-to-date and run per instructions.

Make sure you have the up-to-date versions of Spybot V 1.3 and Ad-aware SE Build 1.05 . All are free and available below.

Download Spybot, install and update. Then download Ad-aware, install, and update.

Spybot:

Install the program and launch it.

Go to Start > Programs >Spybot > Search & Destroy and choose Spybot S&D

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
Click the button to "Search for Updates" and download and install the Updates.
Next click the button "Check for Problems"
When Spybot is complete, it will be showing "RED" (RED) entries "BLACK" entries and "GREEN" (GREEN) entries in the window
Put a check mark beside the RED (RED) entries ONLY.
Choose "Fix Selected Problems" and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

Ad-Aware FULL SCAN:

Install the program and launch it.

First in the main window look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

From main window :Click Start then under Select a scan Mode check Perform full system scan.
Next deselect Search for negligible risk entries.
Now to scan just click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it.(Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and click Next)

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Hello!

Thanks for the reply! Here are the results:

cwshredder – completely clean
trendmicro – troj swizzor.z in C:\_restore\archive\fs68.cab*a0014280.cpy* and *a0014286.cpy* they're non-cleanable as they're in use
etrust – clean
panda – clean
spybot – dso exploit, n-case and z-daemon, which had an error during check (what may be the problem here?)
adaware – lop.com in C:\windows\temp\"something".exe this file ALWAYS changes it's name so it's always there. either it hangs my adaware while deleting or it reappears after rebooting.

my ugly toolbar is still there, courtesy of search200.com, and so is this pop up thingy that comes on at the bottom of my screen each time i open a browser that's from search200/lop.com. can close the pop up, not the toolbar. sometimes when i come online, i get this pop up window from ads1.revenue.net. is there a way to get rid of it?!

thanks a lot! ^_^
Important: Do this before any fix.

Please put your HijackThis in it's own folder, (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT).
You can do a Right Click on any open area on the desktop, New> Folder, then rename the folder HJT.

Go to where your HijackThis is and Right Click on HijackThis.exe, select Cut, then open the new folder you just created (HJT) Right Click in the folder and select paste.

The reason we do this is Hijackthis creates backup files just in case you'd need to restore one and we'll be cleaning out the temp files. ]

I suggest you do this:

Use Add/Remove Programs and remove these.

WIPE DELETE
P2P NETWORKING

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these.

Do you know what these programs are?
C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Application Data\surf ace grey web\Basemail.exe
C:\WINDOWS\APPLIC~1\BLAHBEND\PartTrust.exe

Restart your computer in Safe Mode.

Press the F8 key until the startup menu appears.

Choose the Safe Mode option then press Enter.

Delete these folders if still listed.
Open C:\WINDOWS\APPLICATION DATA\WIPE DELETE <–Delete Folder
Open C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\P2P NETWORKING <–Delete Folder

1. Open My Computer
2. Right click on your hard drive that you wish to clean (C drive, for example)
3. In the context menu that opens, select properties
4. Under the general tab you should select Disk Cleanup
5. Windows will scan your drive which will take a few seconds/minutes
6. A box will display the various files you can remove.
Check all boxes except compress old files
7. Click OK and windows will comply.

Restart your computer.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Hi there,
I did as you instructed, except for the disk cleanup part, I didn't have the "compress old files" to check. and there was also "uninstall info for windows" as well as some debugging application thing that I haven't deleted. shall i delete them as well?

i have deleted the 2 files "C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Application Data\surf ace grey web\Basemail.exe" and "C:\WINDOWS\APPLIC~1\BLAHBEND\PartTrust.exe". WIPE DELETE wasn't in the add/remove programs.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Hi,

I have put it in a separate folder, it's in "C:\My Documents\HijackThis!\HijackThis.exe". Is that alright?

The odd thing is that before I connected to the internet I did a scan and then deleted the "R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = " thingy, so now the toolbars and pop ups are gone, but I tried it once before, in a few days time it will return. :(

Here's the Log:

Thanks!
Log looks good :D  How is it running any issues?

Get these Free Programs  Doesn't look like you even have a Anti-Virus program :o

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

To disable Windows Me System Restore

Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
Double-click the System icon.

——————————————————————————–
Note: If the System icon is not visible, click "View all Control Panel options" to display it.
——————————————————————————–

On the Performance tab click File System.

Click the Troubleshooting tab, and then check Disable System Restore.

Click OK. Click Yes, when you are prompted to restart Windows.
Follow the instructions in the document that instructed you to disable System Restore (such as troubleshooting or virus removal). When all instructions have been completed, enable System Restore again by following the instructions below.

To enable Windows Me System Restore
Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
Double-click System.
On the Performance tab click File System.
On the Troubleshooting tab, uncheck Disable System Restore.
Click OK. Click Yes, when you are prompted to restart Windows.

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
Hi there, Yep, everything's looking real good. Hope it'll stay that way. Actually i got rid of my anti-virus program a few weeks ago cuz it wasn't really helping. ;) Thanks so much for your help!!! It's like exorcism of the computers. Merry Christmas! :D
