At the moment, My computer has been annoying me. Windows Media Player, after running for about 5 min., starts draining excessive cpu, until it reaches 99%, and starts to mess up on the graphics, and the sound skips occationally. I have two games that are messing up. Starcraft autorun takes upwards of 10 minutes to finally load, and Baldurs Gate won't even install. These two games worked perfectly when I first got my computer. The games both work on my pentium 166, but that computer doesn't even compare to this one, running an AMD Athlon XP 3200+.
You have high CPU Usage which can be caused by the Blaster, Nachi or Welchia trojan. To remove this and several other trojans there is a tool which needs to be downloaded and run.

1. Please download Stinger and save it to your desktop

2. Double-click on the stinger.exe file and open the tool

3. Choose your entire hard drive to scan.

4. Choose Scan Now

5. Stinger will fix anything that it finds

6. Click the File menu and select Save report to file

7. Post the log file results here in this thread.

Okay, done. I recently found out that Media Player had an update that I installed on my pc that was causing the huge drainage. So, everything seems to be in working order. Thanks for your help.
Glad we could help :D

To help keep you clean follow the recommendations in Tony's article here:
So how did I get infected in the first place?
