Hi again Micah. My neighbor is having problems with his Yahoo messenger. I have posted his log here to make sure it is not a virus or nasty malware. How was your Thanksgiving. TY for you help and GBU

Just a few things to fix… nothing serious.

Not sure if it will help with Yahoo! Messenger or not.

Go to your control panel, add/remove programs, and uninstall New.net.

If not there, download/run their uninstall program found here:

http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Scan".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

Also, there is a line in this log that says it was hijacked? It is near the bottom half of the log. I think there may be a trojan in this baby as well. Thank you for your help. Oliver

Please do the last "fix". Uninstall "New.Net". Reboot. Fix all the lines that have "red.clientapps" in them. Reboot. Post a new log file. :)

Hi again Micah, The problem seems to be fixed except for the fact that I can't seem to download the messenger for my neighbor :(. I will download his log again tomorrow.
