Here's how to post a Hijack This log

Download "HijackThis" here
When downloading, choose "save to disk" and NOT open!

Now create a new folder for it, C:\Hijackthis, for example.
After unzipping the file. to C:\Hijack This, you'll end up with the file itself, which is Hijackthis.exe, and that's the one you'll need to doubleclick.'

When the program launches, hit the "Scan" button
When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, and save the log anywhere you like.

Now if you doubleclick the log file.Go to Edit > Select all, then to Edit > copy.
Now you've copied the entire text to the Windows Clipboard (this happens behind your back.)

Next, go back to this forum thread, and click "Add Reply".
In an empty area click your RIGHT mouse button, and choose 'Paste' from the context menu.
There's your Hijack This log.
Hallo Little Eagle !

The following have randomly named file names, and as such are normally malware. Follow their process tree. Right click on the file and go to Properties. Then go to the Version tab to see what company name it's from: C:\WINDOWS\system32\oad.dll
I think I have removed oad.dll in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 with CWShredder or HijackThis, so I can´t find it anymore. But that´s my problem. Every time my startpage is hijacked I can do like that, and it´s always a dll-file. But why does the dll-file return every time ? Is there anything else that is wrong in my Hijack This log, posted november 22 2004 08:32 PM ? Please help me !
The dll-file has a different name every time. For instance gcj.dll, aglo.dll, pleffa.dll, ppdimca.dll, beoai.dll, odg.dll, jipnof.dll, and so on. I´ll post you a log next time it shows up - before using CWShredder and HijackThis. It will not be today, because I have to sleep now. I hope you can understand my english; I am from Sweden. I am not so good in english, so what is the meaning with Quote, that you wrote in your email ?
Hallo Little Eagle (or someone else, willing to help) !

Now the dll-file has shown up again, and my IE homepage is hijacked. Please, tell me what´s wrong and what to do.

Download FxAgentB.exe from HERE and save it to your desktop. After downloading, double-click the FxAgentB file to run it and the program will scan your entire hard drive - this may take a while. When it is done, it will generate a log file called FxAgentB.log - save that information as you will need to paste it here later. Reboot when done.

Next click HERE to download CWShredder by Merijn Bellekom and run it, hit 'fix' as opposed to 'scan only'. If you already have CWShredder, click 'Check for update' and make sure you are running version 1.59.1. Reboot when done.

Then click HERE to download Ad-Aware SE and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done, rescan with HijackThis and post a new log here, together with the FxAgentB log.
