Here is a recent hijack this log after running AdAware 3 times and attemping S & D, but that hangs and will not complete. Steinger also fails to finish a scan.
I have already attempted uninstall of several things that I am sure are malicious, as well as deleteing the folders of some. Perhaps I should not have done that.

I have started following your instructions and House Call has hung on the same file that stinger stoppe on. The file is C:\\Windows\BvmUnst2.exe I was not sure if I should just stop the scan, delete that file and try again or not??? Thanks for your previous quick response. BTW - I am doing this on a different computer than the one I am corresponding on.
I am sorry to be such a pain, I started the Panda and it has run for a while, disinfected 2 files and now seems to be hung on C:\Windows\bvm202.dll I don't know whether to stop it and try one of the others and if so which one, or give up and try to copy off what I really need and format the HD and start over??? Thanks again for the help!! This is a great service!
OK, park the AV scans for now - we can go back to them later. Post a new HJT log and I'll clean it manually - let's see if that stops it choking.
Thanks again. Here is the one just run. FYI when I ran it the first time it still had some of the '01' entries and I re-ran it until I got rid of them and here is the rest.

First click here to download LSPFix. Extract the program from the zip file and run it, make sure you click the "I know what I'm doing" button. Select calsp.dll and using the right-pointing 'arrows' and move all instances of calsp.dll it mentions to the Remove (RHS) side but leave everything else (it might already be over there when you open LSPFix). Click the 'Finished' button (if you exit with the X at top right nothing happens).

Create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, move the HijackThis.exe file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong.

Make sure that you have no browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page_bak = http://www.isearch.com/index.php

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Ehdclx] C:\WINDOWS\System32\l?ass.exe

Reboot when done, rescan with HJT and post a new log here for a final check over.

ps. if you have disabled anything in msconfig - re-enable before posting your new log.
Here is the latest, after following the instructions. I did re-enable things in msconfig that I had turned off, but the system still prompted me as if they were disabled??

Is it AdAware SE you have? If not, click here to download Ad-Aware SE and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done. Next, download the Lavasoft VX2 cleaner plug-in into AAW SE from here

Close Ad-Aware SE and Ad-Watch (if running). Download the file to your desktop, double-click it to run it and it will install into AAW itself. Open AAW, go to add ons and run the tool. Let me know if it removed anything.

Reboot when done, rescan with HJT and post a new log.
I finished the Ad-Aware (yes I have SE) and then ran the cleaner as you advised. It identified " VX2 variant 3 found". I chose "clean" and it reported "Status Installed, PLease reboot and perform smart scan". I will do that now and then do a new HJT to report in.
I forgot to mention that at the end of the AdAware run there was a message that said ' Some objects could not be removed …." The files were " C:\WINDOWS\system32\AqLEDIT.DLL" and "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AqLEDIT.dll"
Here is the newest log. There were also two more files that could not be removed by AdAware, different ones.

Click here to download Pocket Killbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the 'Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste the following, clicking the red 'Delete File' button after pasting each one:

C:\Program Files\Windows AdControl\WinAdCtl.exe
C:\Program Files\VBouncer\VirtualBouncer.exe
c:\windows\180ax.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\RON\Application Data\ttuh.exe

Click 'Exit' when done.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again.

Make sure that you have no other browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':

Reboot when done. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the !Submit folder on the C:\ drive and inside you will the files removed by TheKillbox - zip them up individually and send to this e-mail address including a link to this thread in the body of the email.
