Here's a copy of my log - after mistakenly clicking on one of a series of popups that spawned from my mail browser I noticed the following day that I was getting a ton of pop-ups and I couldn't get rid of them. :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Brad

The following have randomly named file names, and as such are normally malware.
Follow their process tree.Right click on the file and go to Properties.
Then go to the Version tab to see what company name it's from:
If it's from some name you never heard of or if it's blank, please check for removal also.

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Xhe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\w?wexec.exe
This on will be tricky second letter may be any thing

Reboot afterwards in SAFE MODE. If you don't know how click here
Delete the following file(s) and folder(s) listed

C:\WINDOWS\System32\w?wexec.exe<<
C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker folder

Some of these files and folders might have the hidden atribute
How to show hidden files and folders in Windows Instructions here

Then Download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder.
http://www.igorshpak.net/software/3ssetup104.zip
Under "items to clear" click all. Then click "clear selected items"

Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Completed the steps above and downloaded the security suite. Here's the new HiJackThis log below. Computer is much quicker than it has been and I no longer have to ctrl/alt-delete and then close Taskbar in order for my desktop to appear. No pop-ups upon IE launch.

Am I totally out of the woods? I need to set up McAfee Firewall I believe - any tips?

Thanks so much for all your help with this.

BTW - one thing I do keep getting is a dialog box:
NotifyAlert.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services: Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0xe50 (3664), Thread id=0xe54 (3668). Click ok to terminate the application. Click Cancel to debug the application.

I keep clicking the X to close the box. And then I get a "Registered JIT debugger is not avabilable. An attempt to lanch a JIT dbugger with the following command resulted in an error code of 0x2 (2). Please check computer settings. cordbg.exe !a0xe50. Click on retry to have the process wait while attachign a debugger manually. Click on Cancet to abort the JIT debug request.

I click the X on this as well. Any ideas?
