A friend recently discovered that Incredimail was spyware. Consequently, it was uninstalled. Scans were carried out with Ad-aware and Spybot (both updated).

A HijackThis scan was also carried out, which revealed an entry relating to Incredimail (it's the last entry in the following HijackThis Log: F00F….).

Nevertheless, no matter how many many attempts are made to delete the entry (using HijackThis), it always returns when the computer is rebooted.

Although HijackThis detects the entry, scans with REGEDIT and SEARCH FOR FILES AND FOLDERS result in 'No Trace.' I cannot understand why. Could you please advise.

Sincere thanks.

The entry you are refering to is what is known as an activex control. The Incredimail entry has not been blacklisted. I would say that the entry is being locked down by either spybot tea timer or spywaregaurd. Try to disable both of these then reboot and fix the entry again and reboot. See if the entry returns then.
Hello Racktracker, Your advice was bang-on. Spybot and Spywareguard were both disabled (as per your instuctions), thus allowing HijackThis to permanently remove the Incredimail entry. My sincere thanks for your assistance and prompt response.
