Hello Egon1914, and welcome to TomCoyote.

You have HijackThis running from a temporary or zip folder. Any backup files HJT creates during the repair process will not be secure if left in this folder.

Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT. You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT. Unzip HijackThis into this folder. Please delete any other copies of HijackThis and run HJT only from this new folder. If required a tutorial is here: Hijackthis Folder Tutorial

I notice you do not have any anti-virus software running. On today's internet, an up to date AV is a must. AVG by Grisoft is a well respected and free AV program. Also, I see no third party Firewall running. At least be sure that Windows XP built in firewall is active. ZoneAlarm from Zonelabs offers a good free personal firewall.

Your log contains one or more viruses or remnants of those viruses.

Please do an online virus scan at two or more of the following sites:
TrendMicro Housecall
Panda ActiveScan
Symantec Security Check
CA eTrust AV WebScanner

Allow the online scan to remove anything it finds. Report anything that it can not remove.

You have a version of BackWeb installed. BackWeb is generally considered adware, but you may wish to keep it. The information here may help you decide. If you wish to remove BackWeb:

Open Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs. Look for the following and uninstall them if found:
BackWeb
BackWeb-137903

Start HJT and click on the SCAN button. Put a check mark in front of the following lines if they still show:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://srch-us10.hpwis.com/
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://srch-us10.hpwis.com/

If removing BackWeb, also check this line:
O4 - Global Startup: Updates from HP.lnk = C:\Program Files\Updates from HP\137903\Program\BackWeb-137903.exe

With ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED, click on Fix Checked.

Reboot into Safe Mode and enable viewing of Hidden and System files. Open Windows Explorer (Windows key+e), drill down and delete the following files and folders if found:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\pzmkuglh.exe <–File
C:\WINDOWS\System32\qdshiow.exe <–File
C:\WINDOWS\system\lsass.exe <–File Caution: Delete the instance of lsass.exe only from the 'C:\WINDOWS\System' folder. DO NOT delete the legitimate Windows file in the 'C:\WINDOWS\System32' folder.

Use Windows Search to locate the following files and delete them:

ALCXMNTR.EXE
wvsvc.exe
soundblaster.exe

Reboot and post a new HJT log please.
