hi
i am on an aol highspeed dsl connection and have been having insane amounts of pop-ups, usually 2 at once, sometimes up to 5 or 7 in a row. the hard drive has also been slowing down more and more. my computer is relatively new and i have ran both spybot and adaware several times. after each scan and restart the pop ups seem to be a little more under control, yet slowly but surely they become more frequent until it is just as bad as before. i would like to know if it is possible to eradicate them completely and what i have to do to maintain a clean sytem with no spyware and pop-ups. also when i scanned the first few times it kept saying a few files couldnt be removed on both spybot and adaware, and that i should restart and it would automatically scan and remove once i did that. after restarting as it said they were removed, yet there are still 2 problems that it says cannot be removed, no matter how amny times i restart. any help is GREATLY appreciated, thank you SO much!!!!!
