Hi there
This is the first time I have used this forum so I am not sure if I am doing the right thing here.

A few days ago our default browser page was changed.

I have downloaded HijackThis and Spybot S & D and followed your instructions on how to fix the problem. But to no avail.

I have gone as far as fixing the problem in HijackThis from the log that is created but no where else e.g the Registry.

So………. what do I do now. The default web page is http://yoursearcher.com/index.htm

Maybe other people have had a similar problem.

Please advise what to do next.

Many thanks.
Download hijackthis to its own folder C:/HJT for example. Extrat the zip file to that folder. Then close all browseer windows, open hijackthis and click on scan. Once the scan has completed click on Save Log, this will produce a text file log. Highlight all of the information from in that text box then right click and copy. Come back to this post you made and click on "add reply" at the bottom right and a new window will open. Paste the hijackthis log into the new window hit add reply in that new window.

I have tried many times to load the file and submit it but nothing happens. I keep getting a message to say "insert a file name and try again". I dont know what I am doing wrong. I have searched for the file in my computer but it does not come up. I have tried typing the name only but this still does not work. What next?
I am sorry but I cant find the file. I get as far as \documents and settings\georgekokoti but the file wong.exe is not there so I cannot go further.
