Do you know what this program does?

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HhE] C:\documents and settings\test\local settings\temp\HhE.exe

There are a couple of valid applications using a file by that name (mostly involving games).

If you don't know what it is, is probably NOT good.
Hi Micah :D thanks for replying so fast. My friend had a ton of spyware and i had removed most of it with hjt, I also was suspicious of the Hh.exe, and when I googled it I only found refrences to games too, but I didnt have her remove it, because I wasnt sure what it was, she had been playing yahoo games lately, so I was'nt sure if it was related to it. She originally had a trojan called dwcg2.exe, which i had also, when we deleted the file, it reinstalled itself with a new name in a new folder, mine was called dc18.exe and hers dc101.exe, so i guess it comes back with different names, i went and found mine in a hidden file and got rid of it, and came up clean, hers we removed form hijackthis, but hadnt removed fromt he folder and when she reran her virus scan, the dc101.exe was gone, but the one i posted that you responded to was now there, so im assuming its still the same original one we are dealing with thats regenerating itself. I did have her remove the url catcher u mentioned last night, so thats out of the way, should i have her remove the Hhe.exe from hijack and see if that clears it up, or should i Have her remove it and do the restore instructions you gave me also? thanks for your time :)
If you want to remove

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HhE] C:\documents and settings\test\local settings\temp\HhE.exe

Fix that with Hijack This!, then boot is safe mode and delete it, then reboot in normal mode.

Those other things being fixed won't affect playing games on Yahoo!.

They are things the "Red Sherriff" servers use to track where you go on the Net (i.e. "spyware"). :)
Hi Micah, removed all the things you said to and Virus scan came back clean and hjt log looks good . Thanks again for all your help :D it was much appreciated. Whispurr
Great!!

Glad we could help!

GOD bless!!!

M68 :)

Items you may wish to consider to harden your defenses against future infections:

Read "How did I get infected in the first place?" here:

http://boards.cexx.org/viewtopic.php?t=957

Download IE-Spyad here:

https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm

IE-Spyad puts over 4000 known malicious web sites into IE's "restricted zone" to help prevent you from getting infected.

Check your browser settings here:

http://browsercheck.qualys.com/index.php

A series of "tests" (and suggested fixes) to help tweak IE's settings to help prevent infections when surfing the web.

Follow safe Internet practices:

1. Keep your virus definitions up to date, and scan your system regularly.

2. Don't open email, or download attachments from unrecognized email addresses.

3. Be careful when downloading email attachments, EVEN FROM PEOPLE YOU KNOW! Many virii, worms, and trojans infect a persons system then immeadiately spread themselves to the people in the infected persons addressbook via email attachments.

4. Be careful downloading files from the Internet. Scan all downloaded files with a reliable UP-TO-DATE antivirus program. Scan "zip" files BEFORE unzipping, and scan all unzipped files BEFORE USING THEM.

5. Keep your Windows and IE current with all the latest patches and updates.
(Personally, I'm NOT recommending SP2 for XP at this time)
