Got windows running again. Loaded SpyBot and ran it still programs running that I don't think should be there. I think he uses aol but I can tell Explore has been jacked.

Hey, you have a number of issues so let's do some cleanup first.

Run an updated virus scan. If you don't have one, you can find a free online one at http://housecall.trendmicro.com

Would you make sure Spybot is fully updated?

Download and Run Cwshredder:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe
When the program starts choose fix which is at the bottom right hand corner of the window. Let the shredder do its work.

Go to start menu, and choose control panel. Then go to add/remove programs Locate New.net and remove it if it's not desired.



Now post another log.

Thanks for the help. I installed Antivir and got rid of alot viruses and dialers. Ran cwshredder a few times and spybot again. And deleted new dot. When windows loads I get a blank explorer window that says MYIE at the top.

Did cwshredder find anything?

Run it again, and select the following entries listed below in Hijack This. Then, close all other windows besides Hijack This and click fix checked


Note: If something goes wrong you can undo the changes done by Hijack This. Go to the bottom right hand corner of Hijack This and click on config. Then choose backups.There you can reverse any changes you made.

With only Hijack This running fix these:

Your Internet Explorer is way out of date. Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and make sure you get Internet Explorer 6 SP1 as well as any other critical updates.

Thanks for helping me with this. I plan on putting Mozilla on it I think he will be able to figure it out. I have to reinstall media player on it also the main program was corrupt. There wasn't a jawa32.exe file after the reboot but there were some bin files so I deleted them. Here is the current log.

Ok, but even if you decide to install Mozilla, it's still a good idea to get the updates I mentioned above. Any other problems?

I got mozilla and media player on it. When I bring it back to my cousin I will update Explore. Seems to be doing fine so far. Thanks for the help.
