I recently DL a freeware program and got tons junk on my PC. I managed to get it running to the point where I can at least access the internet but still have a bunch of stuff as shown on my Hijack savelog. Could someone give a little friendly advice as to how to "square away" my system. Here is my hijack log:

Create a folder where you would like the HijackThis file to reside. It is important that you download this file to its own folder as this folder will be used when HijackThis makes backups. If you run it out of a compressed file, like a zip file, instead of running it from a directory, the backups will not be made.

Please unzip Hijack this by a right click on the zipped folder click extract all here. Then delete the folder with the zipper on it.

Download the latest version of Ad-Aware here:

After installing Ad-Aware, and before running the program.
Please be sure to update the reference file following the instructions here:

Reconfigure Ad-Aware for Full Scan:

Launch the program, and click on the Gear at the top of the start screen.

Click the "Scanning" button.
Under Drives, Folders and Files, select "Scan within Archives".
Click "Click here to select Drives + folders" and select your installed hard drives.

Under Memory & Registry, select all options.
Click the "Advanced" button.
Under "Log-file detail level", select all options.
Click the "Tweaks" button.

Under "Scanning Engine", select the following:
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under "Cleaning Engine", select the following:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Click on 'Proceed' to save these Preferences.

Run the Ad-Aware scan and allow it to remove everything it finds and then REBOOT to allow it to finish.
I ran adaware and spybot search and destroy with the most recent updates and ran them according to directions on other posts. Those two removed a TON of junk. I moved hijackthis to its own folder. My computer seems to be running fine now. This is now my hijackthis log:

Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

Reboot afterwards in SAFE MODE. If you don't know how click here
Delete the following files and folder listed
C:\Program Files\Inet Delivery

Some of these files and folders might have the hidden atribute
How to show hidden files and folders in Windows Instructions here

Then Download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder.
http://www.igorshpak.net/software/3ssetup104.zip
Under "items to clear" click all. Then click "clear selected items"

Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
I don't have a program called Inet Delivery nor do I have an Inet Delivery program on my C drive. I have the show hidden files block checked.
Windows XP * Click Start. * Open My Computer. * Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. * Select the View Tab. * Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders. * Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option. * Click Yes to confirm. * Click OK.
I unchecked hide protected files and looked in C:\ program files. There are a couple folders that should not be there but no inet delivery. The weary looking folders are: google, myway, navexcel, & ncase. And about the computer… it seems to run fine now after I ran adaware and spybot search and destroy. Thanks for the help Matt
Could you post another log.

Follow download directions for what?
