Your copy of HijackThis needs to be in a folder of it's own. When HJT fixes anything, it makes backups of the original files in the folder it is in. Those backups would be VITAL to restoring your system if something went wrong in the FIX process!


1. Please go to you're 'My Documents' folder, right-click and select 'New > Folder' then name the folder 'HJT'.

2. Copy and paste HijackThis.exe to the new folder.

3. Close ALL windows except HJT

4. SCAN with HJT

5. POST the new log in this thread using 'Add Reply'

DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS SOME OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO YOUR COMPUTER'S HEALTH

Please go to add and remove programs and remove,
WinTools


Close all Browser and Program Windows and have HijackThis fix the following by checking the box beside each and then clicking on Fix checked.

Then Download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder.

Reboot and Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.

sorry I took so long in replying, I copied the HJT into the my documents folder like you said, now what?

Okay, so I downloaded the security thing like you said, here's the newest log, as for how my computer's behaving, everything is cool except for the original problem. Whenever I try to run an exe, (game installations, setup.exe) I get this message. "Only part of readprocessmemory or writeprocessmemory request was completed." any idea what this means or how to fix it? please help. here is the new log.

Close all programs and windows and run hijackthis. Put a checkmark next to each of these entries and press the fix button when ready:

O9 - Extra button: Related - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm
