I have just updated and run SpyBot and I thought I'd send the results in case it helps with your diagnosis:-
There were 2 entries of ATLEvents.ATLEvents
There were 152 entries of CoolWWW.SearchSmallM
There were 5 entries of DSO Exploit
Read you soon,
Wendy
The DSO exploit is a bug in the program - did you have Spybot fix all it had found? Let's check nothing else is lurking.
Click here to download CWShredder by Merijn Bellekom and run it, hit 'fix' as opposed to 'scan only'. Reboot when done.
Click here to download Ad-Aware SE and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Click "Start", select "Perform Full System scan" and "Next" to start the scan. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".
Reboot when done. Rescan with HJT and post one more log here.
I just ran Spy Doctor and found another 16 infections which I've attached below. I just have one question regarding this. If I reboot, re-run Spy Doctor and find I have more infections, I guess that means there's still something dodgey there?
How often would you suggest running spy detection software? Over the course of the current problems, I have been running at least one of the programs daily and usually all of them. However, I don't want to spend so long checking for these bugs that there's no time left to actually use the computer itself…
I'll come back to you in an half hour or so.
Thanks again,
Wendy

They may just be remnants that your updated program has found. Remove them, reboot and rescan.
I can't see anything in your log that could be responsible for ongoing problems. Post a startuplist log - open HJT>config>misc tools and check the two boxes under the button.

Check for updates to your software regularly (weekly) and scan if it is updated.
