TrojanHunter 4 has been released! This new version of TrojanHunter features a brand new file scanning engine and lots of other enhancements and improvements. Read on for full details on what's new in this release.

TrojanHunter 4 has an entirely new, next-generation file-scanning engine. The new engine uses strong, code-based signatures. This makes it very difficult to avoid detection by "hex-editing" trojans. The scan speed has also improved in this new version due to improvements in the scanning speed of the script scanning engine.

This update is free of charge to licensed users (as all updates have previsosly been). Simply install the trial version of TrojanHunter 4 and copy your License.dat file from your old TrojanHunter folder to the new folder. It is recommended that all licensed users upgrade as soon as possible as updates for version 3 will cease within 30 days.

This is today's second update. Note that you need to use TrojanHunter 4 to be able to download this update.

An updated TrojanHunter ruleset, containing 20220 ruleset entries, is available. This update adds 8 new trojan definitions.

Licensed TrojanHunter users can easily update using TrojanHunter's LiveUpdate utility. If you are using the trial version of TrojanHunter, please see http://www.misec.net/trojanhunter/updating/ for instructions on how to update to the latest ruleset.
