Unwanted search pages, unwanted link folder in IE6, also sometimes a dos program starts up with strange strips and then the printer gets started and all the paper comes out!!!
Need serious help!

THANKS!
If you have not done so,

Download the latest version of Ad-Aware here:

After installing Ad-Aware, and before running the program.
Please be sure to update the reference file following the instructions here:

Reconfigure Ad-Aware for Full Scan:

Launch the program, and click on the Gear at the top of the start screen.

Click the "Scanning" button.
Under Drives, Folders and Files, select "Scan within Archives".
Click "Click here to select Drives + folders" and select your installed hard drives.

Under Memory & Registry, select all options.
Click the "Advanced" button.
Under "Log-file detail level", select all options.
Click the "Tweaks" button.

Under "Scanning Engine", select the following:
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under "Cleaning Engine", select the following:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Click on 'Proceed' to save these Preferences.

Run the Ad-Aware scan and allow it to remove everything it finds and then REBOOT to allow it to finish.

Then Please Scan with Spybot Search and Destroy:

Downloaded and Install Spybot S&D, accepting the Default Settings

In the Menu Bar at the top of the Spybot window you will see 'Mode'. Make certain that 'default mode' has a check mark beside it.

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D

Click the button to ‘Search for Updates’ and download and install the Updates.

Next click the button ‘Check for Problems’

When Spybot is complete, it will be showing ‘RED’ (RED) entries ‘BLACK’ entries and ‘GREEN’ (GREEN) entries in the window

Make certain there is a check mark beside all of the RED (RED) entries ONLY.

Choose ‘Fix Selected Problems’ and allow Spybot to fix the RED (RED) entries.

REBOOT to complete the scan.

Yes a 8mb/1mb adsl line….why?

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

You mean before a do what you told me to do or after?
Now at the moment (with NaviSearch still there) many times when I go to a page in IE and it takes to long or the pages is unavailable, the navisearch pages comes up. Also I still got a folder "Links" into my favorites but the folder can't be opened also every time when I delete it the next reboot it's back. The PC looks a little bit slower and web browsing also but maybe it's my imagination…

Also before I cleaned the PC with ad-aware & spybot I sometimes had a dos program automatically starting up and than my printer started and all the papers came out… It happened 3 times

And also when I typed things in e.g. forums words like DVD after a moment it turned into a link to another page.

For example if I want to click your link in this part:

Reboot in SAFE MODE. If you don't know how click here

It is impossible to get the page because the whole time I see the navisearch page…

I found out how

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nwiz] nwiz.exe /install

Associated with the newer versions of nVidia graphics cards drivers. Allows you to immensely improve desktop layouts by setting preferences and optimizations. However, this isn't necessary for the operation of your system

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Pcsv] C:\WINDOWS\system32\pcs\pcsvc.exe

WOW Active Control Version 2
http://www.eztools-software.com/fr.asp?s=t…wow/default.asp

Now that you have Spybot, Start Spybot click mode make sure that advanced mode is checked.
Click tools>system startup to the right is a double arrow bar click it to expand.
Now clicking on the value you will get a discription of command line.
Remove the green check mark on the ones in the database status that are not "Typically not required"
Should you decide that you need or want them just place a checkmark back in the box.
Any of unknown status can be unchecked one by one reboot, this completes the change.

The activeX controls "016's will reinstall when(and if) you revisit that website,

http://www.sysinfo.org/startupinfo.html you can use this link to check the 04's
in HijackThis.
;)

I did what you sad but I have a Question with 1 of the enteries:

(Key)HK_LM:Run (Value) NAV Agent (Command line) C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\navapw32.exe

Discription of command line:
Current filename:
C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\navapw32.exe

Database status:
Not required - virus, spyware, malware or other resource hog

Value:
NAV Agent
Filename:
N/A

Description
Added as a result of the RIOSYS VIRUS!
Note the lower-case "n" and "v" in the name as
this is not the valid Norton AntiVirus entry of the
same name - indeed it closes Norton AV
processes

Is this from norton or not?

Thanks again.
