I was here a week or so ago and a member helped me fix my computer.  It worked for about a day and now it has the same problem.  It is slow.  I have to wait a long time like 30  seconds or a minute for windows to open up.  Sometimes it freezes and once in awhile I have to restart the computer.  Usually it depends on the amount of windows  or tabs I have open but even with  5 or so I takes a long time.  Sorry I have to come back again.   Here is my logfile for Hijack this.  I run Vista and usually use Chrome and my wife uses Firefox.

Thanks

GB

      Good Morning,

I tried to copy and paste your logs into this thread and it would not let me either, they may just be to large. In the future when the logs we ask for open up in notepad, just copy each one individually and post it, take as many replies as you need to post them all.

Nothing earth shattering on your logs, lets do this. I am going to have you run these 3 programs, post the log for each one. The last program is Malwarebytes and it looks like you have the latest version installed but I am posting it anyway so you can follow the instructions to set it up correctly, run the scan and post the results

              Good Morning

Did Malwarebytes find anything and was it removed ???

              • Open Malwarebytes and on the Dashboard click on History
              • Then Application Logs
              • Then Scan log
              • Select the date of the scan you just ran
              • Then click Export
              • On the dropdown list select Copy to Clipboard and paste it into this thread
              • Sorry,  There is no History under Dashboard.  I did find History under Settings.  There was only "scan log options".  Ther is a checkbox to export log to disk with a pathway.  I clicked pathway but it went nowhere.  also did a search for the pathway on the C drive and it turned up nothing.  I do not know how to post this log.  Sorry.

                Thanks

You have to understand that I am sitting on a computer most likely 1000s of miles away from you , your my eyes and ears and if you dont provide info that I ask for than its impossible to help you.

The scan log is there your just not finding it

Did Malwarebytes find anything and was it removed ???

If it found no threats than I dont need a log but you  have to let me know

if it did find threats, did you set Malwarebytes up the way I posted, if you did those threats should be Quarantined

Open up Malwarebytes and on the Main Dashboard under History, look in the Quarantine folder and copy and paste into this thread whats ever in there, if its empty than those threats where not removed

Then you will need to run a new scan with Malwarebytes.

Open Malwarebytes and when it loads, on the very top ( not the bottom ) click on SCAN, when it loads click on the THREAT SCAN and then click on START SCAN

                This is another option

                •

                • You can highlight one of the detections by left clicking on it.

                • Then, right click on the highlighted detection, and select 'Check All Items'.

                • Next, click 'Remove Selected'. That should remove them all

Then look for the log again, its there. With Malwarebytes open on the top right click on History > Application Logs > Then click on the latest Scan log you just ran to open it ( not just checking the box ) When it opens on the bottom click on EXPORT and on the drop down list click on COPY TO CLIPBOARD. Then come back to this thread and paste it in

Here is the log from the most recent scan.
