TB - got the disk copied.. was not aware the image had to be burned. anyway, got to the language screen, took English, was presented with the main screen, and when I kicked off both 64 bit as well as 64 bit failsafe modes, I almost immed get the msgs:
INVALID OR CORRUPT KERNEL IMAGE
BOOT:
COULD NOT FIND KERNEL IMAGE: gfxboot (and it continues to try and hence repeat the msg)... what do ya think ??? thanks

Soemthing went wrong when downloading the file or creating the disk.
Either the downloaded file or the created disk are corrupted.
Please redownload the file and try again to create the disk.
As an alternative, you may try to create a bootable flash drive using unetbootin instead.
