Hi raymon823,
 

but im infected with something that is preventing me from getting on the eset website. A window opens saying the site id forbidden.

 

Can you take a screenshot of the pop-up window?
 

 im getting shopping banners all over the browser now

 

Which browser?
 

just noticed I am unable to navigate this site with ie also but Im able to do so using chrome.

 

Which site, What The Tech? Or are you having trouble navigating all sites?

Ok I get the shopping banners on the chrome browser. I was unable to navigate whatthetech on ie browser. Ive been quite busy the last two days but yes I still need help. Im going to try the other scanner now

I get the shopping banners on the chrome browser.

• Are these pop-ups, or part of the webpage? Post a screenshot if you can.
• Does it occur in both Chrome & IE

Reset Internet Explorer

Go to the Start menu > Control Panel > Look in the upper right hand corner and make sure the "Category" drop down menu says Small

or Large Icons
Locate Internet Options > Advanced tab > Reset button at the bottom of the menu.



Next you will be presented with the following window. Please read what changes will take place if you choose to reset. If you would like to remove all personal settings tick the small box before clicking Reset.

ok I reset ie and chrome.  Now the pop ups I was getting on chrome are no longer there.  I didnt get any pop ups on ie but after the reset whatthetech forum page is still the same.  Im trying to post a pic of this page in ie but its to large so I will post it once I figure out how

Can you be more specific about the trouble you are having on the WTT site?
Are you having trouble with only WTT while using IE, or do other sites have issues?

i sorry been quite busy.  Yes on IE the WTT site seems to compress The pic I posted is the whole screen so i cant scroll down.  It seems to only be this page, It could be the java script though.  I dont seem to have any issues with chrome.

There are a few different setting for how WTT is viewed. Scroll to the bottom of the page for both options.

• Item #1 (rocketship) can be changed from Performance and Normal.
• Item number #2 has various themes that can be selected.

Try any combination of these and see if it changes the results on how the pages are displayed.
