This is a continuation of the topic above which was terminated due to inactivity from my end.  My sincere apologies for not being able to make it back here in time and  to thank Liquid Tension for his assistance.

I would like some guidance on the removal of various tools that were installed and whether there is anything more than the usual 'uninstall' required for any of these tools:

AdwCleaner

JRT

FRST

OTL

Hijack This

DDS

Thank you

Good Morning

Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again.
  •
  • Click on the Uninstall button.
  • Click Yes when asked are you sure you want to uninstall.
  • Both AdwCleaner.exe, its folder and all logs will be removed.

Please download DelFix and save the file to your Desktop.

  •
  • Double-click DelFix.exe to run the program.
  • Place a checkmark next to the following items:

.Activate UAC
.Remove disinfection tools
.Create registry backup
.Reset System Settings

Click the Run button

This will remove the specialised tools we used to clean your system. Any leftover logs, files, folders or tools remaining on your Desktop which were not removed can be deleted manually

Hi, Tried to follow your instructions for Delfix but Trend Micro is giving the following messages: "This file contained malicious software so it has been deleted for your protection" This program was prevented from performing an action that could pose a security risk.

Thanks

Sometimes some Anti Virus programs block some of our tools, but there not infected

Open OTL and click on Clean Up and it will remove programs we used to clean your system along with there backups, any programs that where not removed you can just drag to the trash.

Malwarebytes is the free version and yours to keep and will not be removed
