Hello. For the past 3-4 weeks, I cannot load any pics to Twitter via my PC. I can also not use RealPlayer to download video clips from the Internet. Any suggestion on the cause and fix?

Thanks

Exactly what happens when you try to do either? Any error messages?
Have you tried a different browser?
Did you change your anti-virus?

Ztrucker: If trying to add a pic to Twitter, it just hangs, thinks, and times out. If trying to download using RealPlayer, same. Never getting an error message. These functions worked for years, then one day, nothing. I have not changed anything on the computer. Could it be a MS update that went haywire? Different browser...? Like Firefox or Chrome? krbybng

Does it fail with other browsers like the ones you mentioned? If no, try disabling Add-ons in Internet Explorer via Tools, Manage Add-ons.

I do not have any other browsers.  So which add-ons do I need to disable?

If you go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools you should find an entry for Internet Explorer with no add ons
see if this improves things... if it does then you can disable them all and then reinstall them one by one until the problem reoccurs when it does you have nailed the culprit....

A different approach is to reset Internet Explorer ..... with IE open go to
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Reset and Ok your way out.
estart IE and see if there is any improvement.

Also, try a different browser like Firefox, Pale Moon or Google chrome, see how they behave.

Edit: What OS? XP, 7 or 8?

Paws:

Thanks.  Tried your suggestions but the problem still exists.

ZTrucker:  I'll try another browser.  Currently have Vista Service Pack 2.

If the problem still persists, then its indicating a more serious problem....

Have you tried using a system Restore Point created before the problem started?Details here:

Ok, I understand... lets try and establish if its a problem with your connection/settings to twitter, or a more general problem with your computer.

Do you have any problems posting pictures to anywhere else?

Try posting a screen dump into your topic here of the page you get when you try but fail to post a picture to twitter.

Ok, thanks for the screen dump

That all looks fine so I guess it must be a problem with either your twitter settings or procedure.

have a look here:
