Awaiting system cd-rom. I noticed something on my Start menu. An item there that is "Run Hunter Mode". It seems to be an install file. Would that have something to do with what we are doing?

Ignore my last transmission concerning "Run Hunter Mode". This pertains to Revo Uninstaller.

Would this have to be a Windows XP Professional or merely a Windows XP.  Is there an appreciable difference between the two?

It has to be a Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3

I thought I had repied to you before this but will let you know now.  March 13th there was a blizzard snowstorm here  which made it impossible to go and get a system disc.  During the storm I had a chimney fire which resulted in a house fire and i thereby lost use of my pc.  However this morning approximately 4 hours ago i was able to get back on-line.  I have the disc and am awaiting further instructions and I appologize for this delay.  Going back where we left off I believe you wanted me to do the "scannow".  and I am prepared to do it now.

I sent a reply to you a few days ago, but for some reason it never registered on here.  However, the status of my pc remains the same with one additional problem that certain programs will not download and install  properly.
