Hi ptaerehsahh,
Please go back to the the Root key again while Everyone is selected remove check mark in the box under Allow next to Full Control and close the registry.
Then carry out the steps 3 & 4 as before
- Go to Start > type "regedit" (without quotes) in the search programs and files text field
- Accept the UAC if present
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root
- Right-Click Root and select Permissions…
- Click Advanced.
- Under Owner tab select the entry starting with you user name, example: Farbar(Farbar-PC\Farbar)
- Put a check mark next to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects and click Apply and OK.
- Under Security type while Everyone is selected put a check mark in the box under Allow next to Full Control.
- Click Apply and OK.
Please go back to the the Root key again while Everyone is selected remove check mark in the box under Allow next to Full Control and close the registry.
Then carry out the steps 3 & 4 as before

Create a Restore Point:
- Select the Create button to create a new restore point
- Wait, confirmation will be displayed below the Restore button
- Select the Restore button, the system restore window will open
- Choose Next, select a Restore Point to roll back to, select Next again
- Confirm the Restore Point and choose Finish
Back-up the Registry:
- Select the Back-up button,Tweaking.com Registry Back-up window will open and begin the back-up
- It will close automatically. (that's normal)
- Select the Restore button, Tweaking.com Registry Back-up window will open
- Select the Restore Registry tab, next use the Select back-up to Restore drop down menu
- Select the Registry Back-up you want to restore to, and select the Restore Now button, confirm your choice by selecting Yes
- Choose OK to reboot your system.

- Acknowledge the System reboot when finished
- Log files can be located by going to the Settings tab in the Windows Repair program and clicking the Open Log Folder button
- The default location for the logs is : C:\Program Files (x86)\Tweaking.com\Windows Repair (All in One)\Logs\

I have been running everything in safe mode… Normal mode does not work… It does come up. but when I click anything and I mean anything including start. it freezes up ….

ahhh ok.. sometimes I'm a dummy……..
when I start the computer back up.. a blue screen comes up for about a second saying there is a problem….. then I get a black screen that says Windows error recovery
