Please go to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > uninstall all the Java Programs you see, now download the latest Java from the following link and install it:

  • There are three options in the window to clear the cache - Leave ALL 3 Checked
    • Downloaded Applets
      Downloaded Applications
      Installed Applications and Applets

Hi! OK, I uninstalled Java (the only Java program I had was Java 7 update 17) and installed the latest version, then deleted the cache. But I jut went back into Java Cache View (via Control Panel) to make sure I deleted ALL of the cache, and I found a file in "system resources" called "javafx.cache.jnlp". Is that a problem? I have also updated all of my Adobe programs: Adobe AIR, Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X, and Adobe Reader 9.4.4. Shannon
Hi Shannonhills ;)

Very good :)

I deleted ALL of the cache, and I found a file in "system resources" called "javafx.cache.jnlp". Is that a problem?

Please just follow my instructions, do not perform actions that you do not know the consequences

Please let me know if the problem with your Webpage error has been fixed
Sorry if deleting cache caused any problems. I won't do it again.

There are still webpage errors. For example, on this webpage right now, the following error shows up:

Webpage error details

On another web page I was just using, this error shows up:

Webpage error details

So no, the web page error problem has not gone away. Now, on some web pages, there are no errors. Netflix, for example.
I should have asked this question earlier: should I be using this computer during our diagnostics? I thought it was OK to use it since you asked me earlier if the browser improved. But if you don't want me to use it, I can use another computer.
Hi shannonhills ;)

should I be using this computer during our diagnostics?

Of course! you must use the computer that has problems.

Ok! Follow this link and uninstall firefox.

Revo Uninstaller has finished installing. I started it, but I don't know which program you want me to uninstall. Your instructions were: You will now see a list of installed programs that Revo Uninstaller can remove. •Locate the program you are uninstalling But there are no programs called xxxxxxxxxxx.
Hi shannonhills

But there are no programs called xxxxxxxxxxx

 You must enter the name of the program you want to uninstall.
For now, leave it alone revo uninstall

Follow this:

Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools –>Internet Options
Go in tab Advance
Scroll down, find and uncheck Display a notification about every script error
Click Apply and Ok

Let me know if you have sill problem with your web page error.
You're going to hate me (or not believe me), but there isn't a check mark next to "display a notification about every script error." And yet, there's an error displayed on this page. I swear, I am not doing any of this on purpose!!! In Internet Options, Advanced, Browsing, the following options are checked: Automatically recover from page layout errors with Compatibility View Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) Disable script debugging (Other) Display Accesserator button on selection Enable automatic crash recovery Enable FTP folder view (outside of Internet Explorer) Enagle page transitions Enagle third-party browser extensions Enable visual styles on buttons and controls in webpages Show friendly HTTP error messages Underline links ALWAYS Use smooth scrolling Honestly, these page errors are not my primary concern unless they are causing my browser to be slow. But if you are concerned about them, then I'm concerned about them. I await your next instruction. THANK YOU FOR BEARING WITH ME!!! Shannon
Is it OK if I record streaming videos from trusted sites to my hard drive using WMR while we are doing these diagnostics?
Hi shannonhills ;)

Is it OK if I record streaming videos from trusted sites to my hard drive using WMR while we are doing these diagnostics?

No problem ;)

Honestly, these page errors are not my primary concern unless they are causing my browser to be slow. But if you are concerned about them, then I'm concerned about them.

Right now we are trying to eliminate the problem of the error page, with regard to the problem of slow pc, we will solve that too. You must have a lot of trust ;)

Try to update the framework.

Go in this page and update the Net Framework to 4.5 version
