Hi I have Norton 360 yet I keep getting redirected from Google by what looks like a malicious malware operation that opens a new page starting with Oyodomo in the address bar.
I also get drop downs on the right with adds and across the bottom.

Thanks! Hugely appreciated!!! I don't know if its related but I can't seem to open the excel sheets I had on my computer now. I was using excel starter but now it doesn't seem to work? Any thoughts on that would also be very welcome. Thanks again! Tim

Hi Timhoc,

Download aswMBR.exe and save it to your desktop.

Right click and select "Run as Administrator".

When asked if you want to download Avast's virus definitions please select Yes.
Click Scan
Upon completion of the scan, click Save log and save it to your desktop, and post that log in your next reply for review. Note - do NOT attempt any Fix yet.
You will also notice another file created on the desktop named MBR.dat. Right click that file and select Send To>Compressed (zipped) file. Attach that zipped file in your next reply as well.

Right click and select "Run as Administrator".

Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.

Hi Timhoc

P2P - I see you have/had P2P software uTorrent installed on your machine. We are not here to pass judgment on file-sharing as a concept. However, we will warn you that engaging in this activity and having this kind of software installed on your machine will always make you more susceptible to re-infections and possibly Identity Theft. It likely contributed to your current situation. This page will give you further information.

Please note: Even if you are using a "safe" P2P program, it is only the program that is safe. You will be sharing files from uncertified sources, and these are often infected. The bad guys use P2P filesharing as a major conduit to spread their wares.

I would strongly recommend that you uninstall this now.

Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features. Locate and select the following that are present on the list and click the Remove button:

uTorrent (if still present)

Using Windows Explorer (Windows Key + E), locate the following files/folders, and DELETE it (if still present):

C:\torrent.exe <– delete the file only

Exit Explorer

If you choose to not remove this program please refrain from using it until we have finished cleaning your computer.

Delete cache and other browser data in Chrome

Click the Chrome menu [external image: Posted Image] on the browser toolbar.
Select Tools.
Select Clear browsing data.
In the dialogue that appears, select the highlighted check-boxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
- Clear browsing history
- Clear download history
- Empty the cache
- Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data
- Clear saved passwords
- Clear saved Autofill form data
- Clear data from hosted apps
- Deauthorize content licenses
Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
Click Clear browsing data.

Reset / Change Homepage in Chrome

Click the Chrome menu [external image: Posted Image] on the browser toolbar.
Select Settings.
Add the home button to the browser toolbar
Home page button is off by default. Select the "Show Home button" checkbox in the "Appearance" section to show it on the browser toolbar.
Set your home page
When the "Show Home button" checkbox is selected, a web address appears below it. This is the address you will want to change. (hxxp://home.sweetim.com)
Click Change to enter a link (i.e. http://www.google.com). You can also choose the New Tab page as your home page.

Hi, Thankyou so much! So far I have not experienced any redirect. Hopefully therefore that has all done the trick. I will be back in contact if I have any more problems. Thanks again, fantastic service

Hi Timhoc,

It's important that you follow through with the remainder of the steps I will outline. Absence of symptoms doesn't necessarily translate into malware free. We are making progress so please stay with me until I give you the "all clean" sign.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

Right click and select "Run as Administrator" mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan as shown below.

When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location and post the results.

Please run Eset Online Scanner

Administrator rights are required to run ESET Online Scanner

Place a check mark in the box YES, I accept the Terms Of Use
Click the Start button.
Now click the Install button.
Click Start. The scanner engine will initialize and update.
Do Not place a check mark in the box beside Remove found threats.
Click the Scan button. The scan will now run, please be patient.
When the scan finishes click the Details tab.
Copy and paste the contents of the C:\Program Files\ESET\log.txt into your next reply.

In your next post please provide the following:
MBAM log
ESET's log.txt
