A man goes into a bar in Texas and asks for a glass of beer. The barman asks whether the man wants Light or Special at 80 cents or one dollar respectively. The man asks for the Special and hands over his one dollar. A second man walks into the bar and asks for a glass of beer, placing one dollar on the counter. The barman serves the second man with a glass of Special.
Why did the barman not offer the Light beer to the second man?
forgot about this, was the 2nd man a regular customer and always drank the $1 special.
Not in this case.
Might have been… how does that help?
Texan don't drink no Lite beer.
You might find it interesting to note that the most sold beer in Texas is Shiner Bock followed by Coors Light and then Miller Lite. Texans drink alot of lite beer.
(I'd have thought that Budweiser would have been up there).
The bartender being a type guy that was always looking to make a little extra cash, saw the guy had a dollar so he just sold him the higher priced beer.
think i got it, just had a brainwave.
was the 2nd man the twin of the first so the barman thought he was serving the same bloke again, so gave him the $1 special?
Did the second man work for/represent the company that sold the special, so the barman knew he would not want the lite (if the lite was a competitors beer)?
