Professor Swanson has just returned from a 6 month sabbatical to the Middle East. She is now giving lectures about her trip and the many ancient artifacts she had seen first hand. She described several mummies and tapestries she saw that dated back to 200 B.C. Coins dated 46 B.C. and weapons made from metal that date back to at least 500 B.C. Her stories were very vivid and quite entertaining.

There are a pair of identical twins. Bob and Bill. Bill can never tell the truth. Bob is "normal" in that he may or may not be telling the truth. Bill commits a murder. Everyone knows Bill did it. But Bob and Bill are identical. The twins are brought before the judge. The judge addresses the twin on the left and asks "Are you Bill?" "Yes I am" responds the twin. The judge then correctly identifies which is Bill and has him remanded into custody.
How was the judge able to do this?
