Waaa! I counted the same square twice! Terry has it right - 11

I know I'm way late, but I came up with 11. 5 small ones, 5 medium and 1 biggie. Is that the "final answer" as they say on tv?

I believe you will find that there are 11 squares (and 27 rectangles).

Don't forget your high school geometry. A square is a "special" kind of rectangle. Not all rectangles are squares… but all squares are also rectangles (as well as being a polygon, rhombus, quadrilateral, parallelogram, and probably a few others.)
