Without saying any numbers, please provide the simplest instructions to someone to write down the number 541,632. These instructions should be so simple that someone could write the number down when they get home, tomorrow… or even next week.
If you take a die and place it on the table with the smallest number up, largest visible number to the right. Write down the right number, the facing number and the top number in descending order. Turn the die over and write down the unused numbers in descending order. EDIT: Might even be simpler: If you take a die and place it on the table with the smallest number up. Write down the 2 largest numbers and the top number in descending order. Turn the die over and write down the unused numbers in descending order.

Can't say that. You can't use any numbers in your instructions.

Not bad. But… it can be done simpler.

And how do you fit those 6 numerals into a date?

5th april 1632 if your british or may 4th 1632 if your american.

i could say Shahjahan leaves Burhanpur and if you googled it you'd find 5 april 1632 or 541632.

i liked oldmans dice theory, pity it was wrong. :D

no more ideas from me yet.

I like the theory.

But again, you'd have to memorize Shahjahan leaves Burhanpur and then google it.

I'm looking for something so much more simple.
describe a hand. number of digits on a hand. number of fingers on a hand. number of thumbs on a hand. palm and the number of digits make up a hand. number of joints/bones in a finger. number of joints/bones in a thumb. which would give you 541632. shrugs.
so it does have something to do with a hand or hands then? :D i'll let someone else come up with an easier way to remember it if it does, i never was any good at rhymes and stuff.
