In honor of Mothers Day... let's do some Mother trivial -

  • How old was the oldest recorded mother in modern times?
  • What is the record of the most children born to one woman?
  • Shortest time between birth of siblings - in separate events (not twins, triplets... etc.)?
  • What is the longest time between successive siblings?
  • What is the record for the most number of children born on the same date but different years?

Nice guesses terry... but none of them are correct. #5 - Yes. I meant to one mother.

Let's call #4 close enough. Elizabeth Ann Buttle gave birth to Belinda on May 19, 1957 and Joseph on November 20, 1997. That makes them 41 years 185 days apart.

 i take it those last lot of guesses are wrong then.. can you give some clues and say highr or lower for those last numbers and then i'll stop guessing for a while and give some others a chance based on my figures and your clues. :D  a thought popped into my head about that siblings question 3, for some reason 2 weeks or 2 hours stuck but i can't for the life of me think why, after all i would of thought that was impossible and the time would be somewhere along the lines of a few months and an emergency birth. shrugs.

OK.... some "critique" of your answers.

ok 1 out of 5 so far.

1:- 73 - too old
2:- 31 - Not enough
3:- 5 months - Not long enough... and be more specific. Days or at least weeks.
5:- 9 - Too many

#1 - Well done OM960 Rajo Devi Lohan gave birth in India November 2008, at the age of 70 to her first child. #2 - Nope. More. #3 - Nope. Longer. #5 - Well done OM960 Jenna Cotton gave birth to three children on the same date - October 2. Her son, Ayden, arrived on Oct. 2, 2003; son Logan was born Oct. 2, 2006, and daughter Kayla was born Tuesday, which was Oct. 2, 2007. The odds of a family having three children born on the same date in different years are about 7.5 in 1 million.

#2 - Nope. More.
