I've got a neighbor who runs cows, sheep, and hogs. He has 6 pastures. He kept the same number of animals in each pasture. He just sold all of his stock. He mad $18.00 profit on each cow he sold. $5.00 on each hog and $3.00 on each sheep. In total he made $451.00. It so happens that each of the seven buyers of his stock purchased the exact same number of animals. What is the largest number of animals that my neighbor could have sold? How many of each type of animal would it be?
ok my answer 126 animals 3 cows at profit $54 14 hogs at profit $70 109 sheep at profit $327 total profit $451 each pasture held 21 animals and each buyer bought 18 animals each.
