  • What do you throw out when you want to use it, but take in when you don't want to use it?
  • What question can you never answer "yes" to?
  • What number is odd because it is even?
  • What appears twice every moment and once every minute, yet never in a thousand years?
Improving my answers… :P (Edited: Post Jimbo's answers) ^_^
  • What do you throw out when you want to use it, but take in when you don't want to use it?
    An anchor.(Thanks Jimbo)
  • What question can you never answer "yes" to?
Are you asleep? or if your dead, I guess!
  • What number is odd because it is even?
    Zero.
  • What appears twice every (moment) and once every (minute), yet never in a (thousand years)?
    The letter 'm'.
;)

1st - an anchor
2nd - are you dead
3rd - no clue to that one - guess jkc73 has that one.
4th - The letter "M" occurs on in every minute, twice in every moment, but never in a thousand years

thats my 2 cents worth

anchor

What question can you never answer "yes" to?
Are you dead?

What number is odd because it is even?
I thought of zero but seems to me zero isn't a number but rather an absence of a number.

What appears twice every moment and once every minute, yet never in a thousand years?
The letter m
1.What do you throw out when you want to use it, but take in when you don't want to use it?

A Rug

2.What question can you never answer "yes" to?

Is the answer to this question always "no"?

3.What number is odd because it is even?

May we consider this answer? …

The note value in the denominator of the fraction located on the first line of EACH and EVERY number ever written … even when the count is 1,2,3 !

Rationale
"number" as in "musical piece"
"1,2,3 count" as in "waltz"
"fraction" as in "key signature"

4.What appears twice every moment and once every minute, yet never in a thousand years?

I bet the "official" answer is indeed the letter "m". BUT I hope that you will also consider the following answer:

Any number ( X) when (X) > or = any one whole number (Y) when
(Y) represents the passing of "seconds" appearing first as :00 and further at (+1 intervals) to max. of :59 then repeat w/o end while moving at the rate of 60 seconds (intervals)/minute AND
appears on a digital GMT clock AND
is from set (Z) where
set (Z) = [ {:00, :01, :02, :03, …, :59} + 90 ] such that

(X) = [any one number (Y) from set (Z) ] + 90 intervals

Rationale:
1. Definition of "moment" = 1.5 minutes = 90 seconds (intervals) on astrological (GMT) time clock (based on earth's rotations)
2. Definition of "minute" = 60 seconds = 60 intervals on astrological (GMT) time clock (based on earth's rotations)
3. 1000 years will never appear on this clock because "years" is based on earth's orbit around sun…not rotation on axis AND is measured using either atomic "SI" clock or CUI clock which combines both GMT & atomic AND inserts modification specs to account for leap years.

Ok complete stab in the dark here. 1. Anchor 2. Are u dead? 3. Four 4. M Answers 1, 2 and 4 have already been established by everyone, my reasoning behind answer 3 is that four is the only primary even number with an even number of letters?? (eg two, six, and eight all have odd amount of letters) making number 4 the "odd one out" lol. Oh BTW, hello every1, hope you are all doing well. Havnt been around much lately. Been so busy grrrr lol. :wavey:
Ding, Ding, Ding!

Well done Achamian!

Those are indeed the correct answers.

It would appear that question #3 was the one that had everybody stumped. Somehow I suspect that Chrissy incorrectly identifying 4 as a prime number may have lit the spark of recognition of the correct response.

Good job all. Everyone please take your participant ribbon out to the lanai where they will get you a banana split. As the official winner, Achamian will get three cherries on his. For her "original" answers, Elizabeth Clare will get an ice cream sundae.

Have a good week!

Now I am hungry

Yes, I don't think I would have got it if I hadn't read Chrissy's answer first.

I think Chrissy definitely deserves at least one of my extra cherries. :D
