Only thing we haven't tried is resetting it.

Resetting Router

Let’s try to reset the router to its default configuration.
  • This can be done by inserting something tiny like a paper clip end or pencil tip into a small hole labeled "reset" located on the back of the router.
  • Press and hold down the small button inside until the lights on the front of the router blink off and then on again (usually about 10 seconds).
  • You also need to reconfigure any security settings you had in place prior to the reset.
  • You may also need to consult with your Internet service provider to find out which DNS servers your network should be using.

Note: After resetting your router, it is important to set a non-default password, and if possible, username, on the router. This will assist in eliminating the possibility of the router being hijacked again.
No, I came back to read what you said to do, and the other computer wont even let me get on what the tech anymore. Should I try resetting the router?

No, I came back to read what you said to do, and the other computer wont even let me get on what the tech anymore. Should I try resetting the router?

Yes.
I reset the router and now none of the computers have access to the internet. I tried running mwb in safemode and nothing will run on the infected computer. I am replying from a friends computer and im hoping you might have some directions for me to follow….. :\
1. Very important: First disconnect your computer from the internet.

3. Reset the IP/DNS settings of your interent connection:
  • Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Double click on Network Connections.
  • Right click on your default connection (usually Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection) and select Properties.
  • Select the General tab.
  • Double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
  • Under General tab:
  • Select "Obtain an IP address automatically".
  • Select "Obtain DNS server address automatically".

[*]Click OK twice to save the settings.

[*]Reboot if you had to change any setting.

4.
  • Go to Start->Run->Type CMD and click Ok. The MSDOS Window will be displayed. At the command prompt, type the following and press Enter after each line:

    IPCONFIG /release

    IPCONFIG /renew

    Type Exit

    Restart the computer.
  • Then hit enter.
  • Exit the command window.
5. Reconnect: Once you have followed all the above steps you can reconnect your computer to the internet.
so once i do that i should have internet back on all three computers? EDIT Wait so do you want me to flush the dns first or release/renew the ip first? Or just do both?
