A literary conundrum: The following are anagrammed titles of 4 classic books 1) SCAN OUR OIL 2) BUY GRAND BEAR 3) VIOLET WRIST 4) RIDDEN WOOD What were the original titles? Which one doesn't belong in this group?
Easy one and I win the cookie :woot: 1.Corio Lanus 2. Barnaby rudde 3. Oliver Twist 4. Edwin Drood All by Charles Dickens except Corio Lanus (Shakespeare). Cheers, Lee
 but… 1 is Coriolanus not Corio Lanus and 2 is Barnaby Rudge not Barnaby rudde :P 1:-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coriolanus 2:-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnaby_Rudge 3:-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Twist 4:-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_Drood and i've never read any of them.. :smack: you still deserve the cookie tho, well done.
You got the gist of the names correct… and the odd man out and why - Lee. Terry is correct that you have a couple typos in your answer.

Here's the cookie. You two can divide it as you choose.

I'm a big fan of Dickens and yep, Rudde was a typo.
However, Corio Lanus was not a typo. I'm not big on Shakespeare and Zoe worked that final one out for me (it had me stuck), but I put it down as two words, so you can have a small bite of my cookie, OK Terry ?

Zoe gets a quarter bite of what is left, our dog Bella gets a half because she kept me company through the 'rigorous' thought process involved and I'll take the crumbs left over

Cheers,
Lee
