:( You guys are just getting so pummeled by the elements ! - When you get lemons, make lemonade.

:o Any respite in sight? - Always look for a bright side no matter what comes your way.

 Are you guys safe and clear yet from flood waters? - The drought has slowed down the flooding in my area and river waters are slowly falling.

In the past few weeks things have been thrown at me and my wife has pushed us to our limits and stubbing my toe in the process, but once the pain stops, life goes on. As bad as it may be in things of life, we must always look up to the one who can make all things better, no matter what they are we push on. So for me and my wife we must keep living and going and pushing forward to live life.

PS: going to try and fry an egg today on my hood when we hit 100f today and see what happens.

Well… the wind here is blowing your direction - sort of. Maybe some of the cool air will make it to you. I'm currently setting at 42 degrees looking for a high today of 57. It only got down to 33 overnight (was 28 on Monday) and hasn't snowed since last Saturday.

BRRRRR too cold for me! lol.
We are officialy in winter now and the temperature (according to my thermometer inside) at 8am is currently 20c (68f) and Im freezing my butt off
Funny how we climatise to our situation. 37c (99f) is an average summer day for me, often getting up around 40+ (104f).
We do not get snow here in Perth, West Australia. In fact, I have NEVER seen snow in my 38 years of life  , but as I HATE the cold, its not a problem haahaa!!

Hope all is well Jimbo.
I spent a couple of years in McCall Idaho working on a project several years ago. The first winter I was there I didn't see bare ground from October 31 until may. There were still patches of snow in the hollows in shady spots into June. The least snow we got in a day was 6". Sometimes we'd get 2 feet. It just keeps packing down so total depth didn't get over 12 ft. It got really dark in my house because the snow sliding off of the roof stacked up against the snow on the ground around 1/2 of the house. (two story in front but only story and 1/2 on the back). My kids had a blast because they could climb up onto the roof in the back, sled down and across the yard, around the end of the house, across the front, down the drive to the road below. They had a pretty good tobbogan path built. My wife always said she loved the snow… but by half way through the second winter (which wasn't as bad… only maybe 8 ft)… she admitted that she had seen enough.
Ordinarily, we'd already be having 90°-100° weather here in "sunny California". But we have been having torrential rain, lightning and thunder storms, raging winds, a scattering of tornado touch-downs, and snow in the nearby foothills. Traditionally, we can predict severe weather (drought v storm) based on prevailing wind patterns emanating from the South Pacific, called either El Nino or La Nina. But neither have demonstrated a consistent pattern this year. Instead, the "jet stream" is settled directly over us here at 38° latitude. By this time of year, the jet stream should have pushed north over British Columbia, Canada. But as things exist right now, we are having awesome clashes of cold-air, colliding with warm-air, resulting in unseasonable storms. Twister about 20 minutes south of me today. 📎YubaCity_Twister.jpeg Inches of hail, stopping traffic just south of me today 📎Davis_Hail_060211.jpeg

This past summer, the East coast of Australia have been affected similarly caused mostly by La Nina. For years they have suffered drought from the El Nino effect, only to be hit the opposite way by the La Nina effect. Severe flooding, severe storms, hurricanes etc.

Haahaa, well you can keep that snow! lol. Although the kids taboggan slide does sound like fun. Lol, trust kids to find a positive, fun thing to do.
