unable to access network status

when i click on my network status, it says the handle is invalid along with a shell::: code. what in the world is going on with that?

Hello Electriccrayon. You gave us just about enough information to tell you… Well, nothing. Please tell us exactly what you are clicking (specifically, how you are getting to that option), and exactly what message you are seeing including all codes. If possible take a screenshot and attach it to your next post. Then we'll try to help you out.

its not doing it now, so i guess you can close this post. i have no idea what was going on, just that it has stopped now.all my start program options would not open when clicked. like i said, its fine now, so disregard. sorry

might be a sign of problems with your hard drive soon to fail, might not too but in case, make sure you have all your important data backed up elsewhere(not on the same hard drive)

i was having some problems with my wireless, then found out that time warner was having internet issues in my area. then for just a few minutes, i couldnt access my start menu and none of my shortcuts would open. after a reboot, everything was fine. i did a tattoo in trade for a dell a few months back, then a month later the hard drive took a poop, and i just tattooed someone for THIS laptop a few weeks ago… might have me a laptop graveyard before its all over with. thank you for your time.
