one of these…
a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p,q,r,s,t,u,v,w,x,y,z.
will have a closer look later and see if i can work out why tho..
g, only letter missing from left,right,centre.
Indeed, If you start in row 1/column 1 you find a L
R2C2 = E
R3C3 = F
R4C1 = T
R5C2 = R
R1C3 = I
R2C1 = ? (which should in fact be G)
R3C2 = H
R4C3 = T
R5C1 =C
R1C2 = E
R2C3 = N
R3C1 = T
R4C2 = E
R5C3 = R
Terry got the spelling of Center wrong.. but the challenge was to get the missing letter… which was G.
In the context of this brainteaser center is correct, but I thought I would add that center is indeed spelt as centre here in Australia and probably in Terry's homeland in the UK .
Well done again
everyone knows the forefathers were to stupid to spell correctly and that's why webster wrote a dictionary especially for the yanks with all the misspelt words in, just to try and cover up the fact, even our prisoner rejects in oz were more intelligent..
colour not color
aluminium not aluminum
spelt not spelled
etc, etc.
learn to spell you yanks..
seriously tho i found this to explain about a lot of the differences between american and british spellings. seems yours are based on a dictionary published by webster in 1828. :- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_and_…ing_differences
i think as the world becomes more americanised through tv and the internet even our kids are now using the american spellings more and more and not being corrected by the teachers in schools like they used to.
Isn't spelled something that happens to you when you upset a witch?????
Only joking ! There's no correct or incorrect way here I think. Even a lot of the teachers these days have no spelling skills! My kids are never corrected on thier grammar at school, so I drive them mad when I am constantly doing it at home
yes same here chrissy, couldn't believe it after i was correcting my daughters spelling when she told me it doesn't matter how they spell things now in school just as long as it's understood.
no wonder those yanks talk funny tho… spelled..
At least that sounds the same has here… the schools not seeming to care if things are spelled correctly, or that proper grammar is used.
Metre vs meter
Lite vs light
"Take that to me" vs "Bring that to me"
"Me and Bob are friends" vs "Bob and I are friends"
"Yo, yo, yo Baby!. You got it all goin' on!" vs "Hello. You look very nice this evening"
"Gimme some scratch!" vs "I'm interested in acquiring a position with your firm. Would you happen to have any employment opportunities?"
