Police are called to the scene when a woman, on holidays with her husband, falls from a 9th story balcony and plummets to her death. After examining the room and it's contents, the inspector remarks, "I believe that this will be a murder case!" Why did he say that?

because he found blood on the bottom of the lamp the husband used to knock her out with before throwing her off the balcony? because she had made an appointment in her dairy for tomorrow 10 minutes before she went for some flying lessons over the balcony, not something a suicidal person would bother doing? because the stupid husband had closed the window after throwing her out of it, instead of leaving it open like it would of been if she committed suicide?

No blood found in room. No diary found. Status of windows was not noted. Please keep in mind that she apparently went over the rail of the balcony that was accessed by french doors.

Was the woman the wife or a "girlfriend"? Did the woman fall from the balcony of her "own" room or the room of another?

Same answers to all three inquiries. :P The wife... was in fact the wife. The balcony was off the couples room.

Multiple persons reported seeing the body hit the street. Several called police. No sign of forced entry to couples room. No witness found (yet anyway) that reported seeing her go over the rail. Inquiries have not taken place yet. Inspector made the statement immediately after examining the room. No witness or potential witness has been questioned.
