Please Doug,

Do away with us, just feed us the answer… ^_^

When solving these kinds of puzzles, don't look too hard to find meaning where there is no meaning, especially in OT posts like this one. tongue.gif

Just woke up and have had a quick look, but I am guessing P is the missing letter, but I need to double check my logic on this one first, but for now, I need to get my happy little vegemites off to school

I have to ask how you came up with 'P'…
I hope you have it.
Ok, heres my logic. A-V=21 letters E-Z=21 letters I - V = 13 letters E-R= 13 letters I-N = 5 letters M-R = 5 letters N-Q =3letters M-?= 3letters ?= P :wall: (It would be much easier if i could find a pen in this house to write it down instead of trying to remember it all in my head lol grr @ pen stealing teenagers)

interesting tactics… cool.gif

if only I had thought of that…I would still be solving the puzzle rofl.gif headscratch.gif

My mind works in mysterious ways

Although now I look it back over, Im starting to have doubts if it is right. Hmmm shall have to wait and see!

Jkc73, i broke the letters down into numbers then looked for a pattern. (A being 1 and Z being 26)
The suspense is killing me.  Doug is either smiling from ear to ear or TomK is rubbing his hands saying I got them em now, what was that line General Kang said when they were fighting the Enterprise, something about the dogs of war :) Jimmy
Wheres Terry when we need him?? I am guessing from the lack of response that we are all wrong lol. So keep nutting it out guys, as for me, its almost time to head off for work. Shall have to check in tonight to see what the solution is. Goodluck! :adios:
You all were having such fun that I didn't want to spoil it. However… we do already have a correct answer. :D

The answer is in fact "J" as Jkc73 already provided.

There are two series in play, each moving 4 spaces and starting at opposite ends of the alphabet.

Series 1 - A E I M Q
Series 2 - Z V R N J

Each pair is then inverted which results in the given data.

Jason provided a logical solution that I had not thought of. In hindsight I probably should not have made the displacement equal.

Well done Jkc73
