Pretty sure my computer is infected with something. I have run Avg antivirus and Ad-aware, neither are bringing up anything. My Computer is running slow and it will sometimes shut off on it's own or Internet Explorer will just shut down. ThaLogfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.4

nks for any help that can be given. Below is my Hijack This log:
Hello sstalter and welcome to WTT.
:welcome:
I'm RedCar92 and my name is Bill, I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.

  • Please observe these rules while we work:
  • Read the entire procedure
  • It is important to perform ALL actions in sequence.
  • If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • Stick with me till you're given the all clear. Malware removal can be stressful but we will clean it.
  • Remember, absence of symptoms does not mean the infection is all gone.
  • Don't attempt to clean your computer with any tools other than the ones I ask you to use during the cleanup process.

Please be advised, as I am still in training, all my replies to you will be checked for accuracy by one of our experts to ensure that I am giving you the best possible advise, this will be a team effort.
This may cause a delay, but I will do my best to keep it as short as possible.

Please bear with me, I will post back to you as soon as I can.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.
DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperative and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

Vista and Windows 7 users:

These tools MUST be run from the executable. (.exe) every time you run them
with Admin Rights (Right click, choose "Run as Administrator")

Stay with this topic until I give you the all clean post.

Bill Thank you for taking on this case. I am unable to download TFC. When I click on that link it tells me that Windows Explorer has blocked that site from downloading anything on my computer for my protection. Thanks Sherie
I am unable to download any of them. When I tried Malwarebytes it told me I had an error on the forum. DDS would download and then told me that it was incompatable with my operating system and GMER gave me the same error as TFC that Internet Explorer is blocking me from downloading for my protection.
Hello Sherie, try this

In Intenet Explorer click on tools, click on Internet Options, click on security tab, click on Default Level. Close IE, reopen and try download again.
Bill

Sherie,
I see that you have 2 anti virus programs installed, AVG & Ad Watch. Having more than one anti virus installed can affect PC performance. I suggest you uninstall one of them. I will give you instruction if you need.
Are you aware that you have Celebrity toolbar and MyHeritage toolbar installed? They can cause search problems with Internet Explorer. Do you want to keep these toolbars, if not I can help you remove them?

Next
We will use this next program to remove a couple of problems.
  • Download OTL to your desktop.
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows

are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check

    and Purity Check.
  • Under Custom Scan paste this in

  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.
  • You may need two posts to fit them both in.

Thanks
Bill
Bill
I am still unable to download anything from the oldtimer.geekstogo site that you direct me to. However I found OTL under LDTate's Maleware removal tools and downloaded it from there. Also, I uninstalled Ad Aware, the Ask.com toolbar and the Celebrity Toolbar. When I uninstalled the Celebrity toolbar AVG picked up Maleware and quarentined it, but the uninstall was complete. Here is the results of the OTL.txt:
