Picture this… Time: Middle of the summer Place: Middle of a calm sea… 200 miles from the nearest shoreline. Background: 3 couples were sailing together on a yacht. They had last been heard from 5 days ago and are now 3 days late reaching their intended destination.. At that time there was no known distress, illnesses, etc. No storms or other phenomenon had occurred in the mean time. Situation: Rescue crews have found the yacht floating unanchored… surrounded by the floating bodies of the six passengers. All six bodies are dressed in swimming togs. All appear to have drowned. Apart from being dead, the bodies appear to be unharmed. Research: Friends and family verify that all six persons were known to be competent swimmers. Question: What happened?
they forgot to lower the anchor when they all went swimming together so the boat kept drifting away from them and they couldn't get back onboard, finally succumbing to tiredness they drown.  google answer of:- they forgot to lower a ladder so they couldn't get back onboard and drowned.
Congratulations once again terry1966!

Indeed. The hapless half-dozen had decided to go for a morning swim in the cool blue ocean. They all dived in off the yacht… and no one had lowered the ladder. If they had even lowered their anchor… perhaps they would have been able to climb the anchor line to regain their craft.. but alas they eventually grew exhausted and succumbed to the arms of Davy Jones.
