Given: + + + = 13 + + + = 11 + + + = 12 Then what does the following equal? + + + = ?

15 = 2 = 3 = 4

Unfortunately… it appears I did a poor job with the question. That is not "correct"… but I don't see a flaw in your logic.

that's ok, just means there's more than 1 answer, will work out others now.

11 = 5 = 2 = 3

Why is terry's first answer not correct, hmm, same logic with his second though?

Well… because I obviously wasn't paying attention when I posted the question and missed the fact that I provided a problem with two solutions.

11 is the answer that I expected with the designated values as posted in Terry's second answer. However, you are right that both answers are valid solutions.
