Google Redirect

I have disabled my antivirus and firewall and winpatrol and when I click on the download tab the pop up security tab that asks me about installing active x only stays on screen for a split second and then the webpage closes and tells me a problem with the webpage caused IE to close the tab. I guess there must be a security settingt in IE that isn't allowing active x but I am not sure.
