Hi
If anyone could assist me with all my malware / viruses / worms and other tons of nasty subjects that I have on my PC, I would appreciate a lot. My PC is often freezing, I don't have any particular errors or unwanted popups comming up but the main issue is freezing. I do a lot for university on PC but its really hard for example when writting some report and cannot write a single word anymore because the software (for example ms office word) freezes. This problem (freezing) is often happening when browsing the web sites also. Same happens when I use some classical XP windows such as explorer or right click menu on taskbar and so on. So I would like to get rid of all those nasty malware that I have. If I understood correctly from ''Are you infected? Need Help'' instructions of how to post then only one out of three softwares to create a log is required and I choose hijackthis. I have already tried the following:
- mbam
- ccleaner
- avira
- spybot search destroy
- automative hijackthis log analyzer found online
- abexo

None of them helped. I have to add the following sentence also: During the week I am not at home. I need help on my PC which is at home only. Today is sunday, I doubt (no offense, this was said with all the respect !) I will get assist so quick so everything could be done today so I have to say that I am comming back home on saturday 13th. Due following instructions I will, for sure, have to reboot PC at least once so there is not much point of remote desktoping through my laptop away from home. So from tomorrow morning I will be able to use my PC again on saturday. I just wanted to say this because we probably won't be finished today and don't want that assistant who will (I hope so) assist me would think that I forgot about this post on your forum. Thank you in advance and here is my log:

I use skype very rarely. Most of freezing ''comes'' when I don't even have it opened. So I would still like to please someone if I may get help removing all those malware on my system.
The issues with your computer that you list, doesn't appear to be related to Malware/Spyware/Virus but we can have a look.

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

Vista and Windows 7 users:
1. These tools MUST be run from the executable. (.exe) every time you run them
2. With Admin Rights (Right click, choose "Run as Administrator")

Stay with this topic until I give you the all clean post.

You might want to print these instructions out.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser

Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browserClick Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Finally I came back to my PC. So I see no changes after running those programs. Pleased someone to invite me, through messenger program (in this case windows live, but same happened on gmail account, also on yahoo instant messenger), for a web cam conversation and after accepting cam invitation, my system still freezed completely. The only ''report'' that I got from tdsskiller was information about the locked file sptd.sys. Then the window with the name "Scan completed" appeared and no entries are shown. Near "Infection" says "not found". Hmm I apologize for having different opinion, don't want to say that I don't agree, but this shouldn't be the reason for freezing, should be? If yes, is this all I need to do? Because this problem (freezing system when accepting someone's invitation for web cam on whichever messenger), and probably some other possible issue with my pc, has been appearing for the past two months. Before that, everything worked fine and I had sp2.
Support / updates for SP2 ended quite awile ago.
SP3 added many security updates for one thing.
