I have recently received a message from my 'Norton Internet Security' program which has indicated to me I have the virus listed below. I have already done several scans with my anti-virus program and I also have tried a free version of 'ad-Aware' spyware removal program to locate and remove the virus but both programs have been unsuccessful in finding the virus at all let alone removing it; the report I received is listed below along with an OTL report which I hoped would further help anyone interested in helping me further,
thank-you in advance;

From what I have see the scans have picked up nothing which worries me: —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— All processes killed ========== OTL ========== ========== COMMANDS ========== [EMPTYFLASH] User: All Users User: Brent ->Flash cache emptied: 43101 bytes User: Default User: Default User User: Public Total Flash Files Cleaned = 0.00 mb [EMPTYTEMP] User: All Users User: Brent ->Temp folder emptied: 2740229272 bytes ->Temporary Internet Files folder emptied: 1344116558 bytes ->Flash cache emptied: 0 bytes User: Default ->Temp folder emptied: 0 bytes ->Temporary Internet Files folder emptied: 33170 bytes User: Default User ->Temp folder emptied: 0 bytes ->Temporary Internet Files folder emptied: 0 bytes User: Public %systemdrive% .tmp files removed: 0 bytes %systemroot% .tmp files removed: 155696 bytes %systemroot%\System32 .tmp files removed: 0 bytes %systemroot%\System32 (64bit) .tmp files removed: 0 bytes %systemroot%\System32\drivers .tmp files removed: 0 bytes Windows Temp folder emptied: 50454431 bytes %systemroot%\sysnative\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files folder emptied: 50333 bytes RecycleBin emptied: 15225160033 bytes Total Files Cleaned = 18,463.00 mb OTL by OldTimer - Version 3.2.14.1 log created on 10132010_112725 Files\Folders moved on Reboot… C:\Users\Brent\AppData\Local\Temp\FXSAPIDebugLogFile.txt moved successfully. Hi there,

Well, you don't appear to be infected. That Norton message doesn't mean there's malware in your computer. You probably tried to access an infected website through Internet Explorer, and Norton blocked that attempt. There's nothing to worry about.

Now, please do the following:

Step 1 | Clean up with OTL

  • Double-click OTL.exe to start the program.
  • Close all other programs apart from OTL as this step will require a reboot
  • On the OTL main screen, press the CLEANUP button
  • Say Yes to the prompt and then allow the program to reboot your computer.
  • Now, from the desktop, delete any logs that you have left over.

Last Step | Now, in order to avoid future infections, please take time to read the following articles:

Read those articles and your potential for being infected will reduce dramatically.

Do you have any questions?
thats very strange, all the site I acess are site I have for year and never recieved these types of messages from Norton and that high priority warning seemed like it was coming from within my computer from its wording; 📎intrusion.jpg but thank-you for your help I'm now a little wiser from this, thanks again.
Let's try this rootkit scan just in case. Please download Rootkit Unhooker and save it to your Desktop

  • Right click on RKUnhookerLE and select "Run as administrator" to run it
  • Click the Report tab, then click Scan
  • Check Drivers, Stealth and uncheck the rest
  • Click OK
  • Wait until it's finished and then go to File > Save Report
  • Save the report to your Desktop
  • Copy the entire contents of the report and paste it in a reply here.

Note - you may get this warning it is ok, just ignore: "Rootkit Unhooker has detected a parasite inside itself!
It is recommended to remove parasite, okay?"
